On the 29th May all the year sevens got their tetanus, diphtheria and whooping cough injection.  At 9:15 we got our injections.  While I was waiting in line I was shaking like mad because I was cold, but most of all, because I was scared about getting my injection, when it was my turn I sat down on the chair that the nurse told me to sit on and she asked me about Tonga.  When she finished talking to me I just looked away hinting that I wanted to get it over and done with, just before she put the injection in my arm I quickly had a glance towards her and I saw a sharp scary needle entering my arm, I could feel it running down the inside of my arm and before I knew it, it was over and she told me I could go and watch the movie.  I took a big sigh of relief and went and sat down next to my friends and watched the movie.

On Tuesday 19 May I trialled for the inter intermediate netball team. In the first half of the game I played GK and I intercepted quite a lot of passes and I thought I was playing quite well.  Then in the second game I played my most favorite position GD.  When I was playing I hardly let my partner get the ball.  Throughout the whole trial I thought I did good and once they had finished talking to themselves for a couple of minutes they said that they will be holding another trial because it was too hard to pick who got in.  I thought that they should of picked who got in to the team, then leave it till later.  But I want to trial again soon.

On Monday 12, till Wednesday 14  the Symphonic band and Choir went to Totara Springs.  On the first day we arrived there we met Matamata school which was staying there too.  We all got settled into our cabins and had free time after that  till our rehearsals for the big concert, which we had on Tuesday night.  In our free time we could go for a bathe in the hot pool, play on the playground/Lullaby, play on some of the entertainment down the back like the round about thing, or just wander around in and out of our cabins.

The next day we had some normal rehearsals and also had a dress rehearsal.  Later on that night we had a big concert where all the parents came to watch, first we all sang the national anthem then the choir sang some songs, after they sang their songs the senior band played some of their pieces, straight after that it was time for the junior band.  I was nervous but once we started to play our second song I was not nervous at all.  I play the flute in the junior band.  Later on when the concert was nearly over some of us had to trade seats with a Salvation Army band that came to play, the youngest I think was at college just out of intermediate and the oldest was in his mid eighties.  They played some songs for us then the senior band and the visitor band joined and played”Eye of the tiger”.  After the concert we had free-time and I went for a swim in the hot pool.  Then we all went to bed.

The next day we had to pack up all our stuff and clean our cabins, and the dining room etc.  After everything was packed up Mata-Mata school were first to go on the water-slide while TAI could go on the three wire or do archery, I was going to do the three wire but the line was too long and the water-slide was ours so I just walked back to the water-slide and four could go on at a time and I liked to go down the slide superman styles, which was when you go down on your stomach holding each-others ankles, it was really fun.

Later on we all loaded the buses then hopped on and started on our way back to school.  Once we arrived at school we unpacked all our luggage into the hall and waited there for our parents to collect us and then went home.

During  the holidays I went to Auckland to see my cousins that live in Glen Innes.  I stayed there for 10 days.  My cousins Mone, Natasha and me went to the pools but my other cousin Peter stayed at there house because he was sick.  We had fun at the pools except for the fact only the cold pool and the spa was open and you had to be 16 or over so only Natasha could go in the spa.  So Me and Mone hopped in the hot showers that people had to go in before going in the pools.

Another day Me and Mone walked into town with 10 dollars each and we went to the internet cafe and stayed there for a couple of hours and ate something.  After that we went to the library and drew pictures for a while and then went back to the internet cafe and went on the computers, the boys played games and I went on bebo and my blog.

At there house I baby sitted my cousins baby Shaniice and dressed,changed nappy and fed her while her mther wasn’t there.

I stayed there for 1 week and 3 days and had alot of fun seeing my cousins again.
